The Education Industry is one of the largest in Canada and requires a broad range of
automation tools. However, funding and the availability of skilled development resources
present an on-going challenge. As a result most education facilities, school boards and
Ministries rely on external expertise to provide packages or custom developed applications.
Industry Experience
Procase has over 14 years experience in Education, and has demonstrated on on-going commitment
to excellence in this field. Procase has experience in the entire range of Education delivery
and it is an integral part of our culture. Procase has developed course curricula, delivers
courses throughout North America and has developed many mission critical applications for
school boards and Ministries. Procase is also involved with education of our private sector
clients by providing knowledge transfer and training on the design, development, support
and use of the applications we develop.
One of our most significant developments is the Showcase Ontario
Diamond Award winning Education
Finance Information System (EFIS). This application enables all school
boards in Ontario to perform "what if" scenarios for education programs to identify the optimal
blend of programs and funding. The final decision is submitted annually and funding transfers
tracked, all in the same application.
The EFIS application was developed in a generic manner, and has been successfully re-implemented
at the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities as the Colleges Finance Information System (CFIS).
Another area of great interest to all school boards is web based report card systems. Procase
developed, hosts and supports the Elk Island Public school report card system. This secure,
web based tool provides on-going value to this board, the teachers and students.
